Day-wise Itinerary

  1. Day 1 Drive from Chandigarh to Shimla Through Scenic Hills
    • Arrive at Chandigarh railway station or airport and transfer to Shimla, approximately a 4-hour drive. Overnight stay at the hotel. Shimla, the summer capital of the British and now the capital of Himachal Pradesh, is a popular hill resort known for its colonial architecture, pedestrian-friendly Mall Road, and The Ridge lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants.
  2. Day 2 Shimla – Kufri Excursion and Sightseeing
    • After breakfast, take an excursion to Kufri, famous for its Himalayan National Park, pony and yak rides, and panoramic mountain views. After lunch, visit Shimla’s attractions including Jakhoo Temple, Viceregal Lodge (built in 1885), Christ Church (built in 1844), The Gaiety Theatre, Scandal Point, and the Mall Road shopping area. Overnight at the hotel.
  3. Day 3 Shimla to Manali
    • After breakfast, check out and drive to Manali (approx. 265 km, 8 hours). En route, visit Sundernagar, Pandoh Dam, Hanogi Mata Temple, and Kullu Valley. Overnight stay at the hotel. Manali, known as the Queen of Hill Stations, is famous for its snow-capped mountains, beautiful valleys, and adventure sports like trekking, white-water rafting, and camping.
  4. Day 4 Manali Sightseeing
    • After breakfast, explore Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht Baths (with optional trek to Jogini Falls), Van Vihar, and enjoy shopping at the local market. Overnight stay at the hotel.
  5. Day 5 Manali – Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel
    • After breakfast, visit Solang Valley, a hub for adventure activities like skiing, zorbing, and paragliding. Continue to the Atal Tunnel, the world’s longest highway tunnel above 10,000 feet, which reduces travel time to Leh. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel. Optional: Excursion to Rohtang Pass (extra cost, closed Nov–May).
  6. Day 6 Manali to Dharamshala
    • Drive approximately 260 km to Dharamshala, stopping at Baijnath Temple and Palampur Tea Gardens. Overnight stay at the hotel. Dharamshala, known as Little Lhasa, is home to the Dalai Lama and Tibetan government-in-exile.
  7. Day 7 Dharamshala to Dalhousie
    • After sightseeing in Dharamshala—including the Dalai Lama’s residence, War Memorial, Bhagsunath Temple, and Dal Lake—drive to Dalhousie. Overnight stay at the hotel.
  8. Day 8 Dalhousie Sightseeing and Khajjiar Excursion
    • After breakfast, explore Dalhousie’s meadows, forests, Panchpula Waterfall, St. Patrick’s Church, and take an excursion to Khajjiar, often called the "Mini Switzerland of India." Overnight stay at the hotel.
  9. Day 9 Dalhousie to Chandigarh
    • Check out and drive back to Chandigarh (approx. 6 hours) for drop-off at the railway station or airport.
