Day-wise Itinerary

1. Day 1 Arrival in Amritsar

   • Arrive at Amritsar Airport or Railway Station and transfer to the hotel. After freshening up, visit the Golden Temple, the spiritual heart of Sikhism, known for its stunning golden facade and peaceful ambiance. Later, proceed to the Wagah Border to witness the famous Retreat Ceremony — a vibrant daily military parade symbolizing India-Pakistan camaraderie. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
2. Day 2 Amritsar to Dalhousie

   • After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Amritsar to Dalhousie (approx. 5-6 hours). Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy a relaxed day soaking in the tranquil mountain atmosphere. Stroll around the local market or simply unwind amidst the pine forests. Overnight stay at the hotel.
3. Day 3 Dalhousie Sightseeing & Khajjiar Excursion

   • Start the day with sightseeing around Dalhousie, including Panchpula, famous for its waterfalls and adventure activities. Visit the charming St. Patrick’s Church, a fine example of colonial architecture. In the afternoon, take an excursion to Khajjiar, often called the “Mini Switzerland of India,” known for its lush meadows, small lake, and options for zorbing, paragliding, and horse riding. 4. Day 4 Dalhousie to Dharamshala

Explore the Dalai Lama Temple Complex, a spiritual hub for Tibetan Buddhism. Stroll through the vibrant local markets of McLeodganj in the evening. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.
5. Day 5 Dharamshala Excursion – Kangra Fort, Palampur & Chamunda Devi Temple

   • After breakfast, drive to Kangra Fort, the largest fort in the Himalayas with rich history and stunning views. Proceed to Palampur, known for its vast tea gardens and natural beauty. Visit the sacred Chamunda Devi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Kali, located on the banks of the Banganga River. Return to Dharamshala for overnight stay.
6. Day 6 Dharamshala to Amritsar – Departure

   • After breakfast, check out and drive back to Amritsar (approx. 4-5 hours). Depending on your departure time, you may visit any missed attractions or do some last-minute shopping. Transfer to Amritsar Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
