Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive at Chandigarh railway station or airport and transfer to Shimla (approx. 4 hours’ drive). Overnight stay at the hotel. Shimla, once the summer capital of the British, is now the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Situated at 2200m, it retains old-world charm with colonial architecture, the pedestrian-friendly Mall Road, and The Ridge lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants.

Day 2

After breakfast, take an excursion to Kufri, known for its Himalayan National Park, pony and yak rides, and stunning mountain views. After lunch, explore Shimla’s attractions: Jakhoo Temple, Viceregal Lodge (built 1885), Christ Church (1844), Gaiety Theatre, Scandal Point, and the famous Mall Road shopping area. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

After breakfast, check out and drive to Manali (approx. 265 km, 8 hours). En route, visit Sundernagar, Pandoh Dam, Hanogi Mata Temple, and Kullu Valley. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Manali, known as the Queen of Hill Stations, offers snow-capped mountains, valleys, rivers, and adventure sports like trekking, rafting, and jeep safaris.

Day 4

After breakfast, visit Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht Baths (optional trek to Jogini Falls), Van Vihar, and shop at the local market. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5

Visit Solang Valley, popular for skiing, zorbing, and paragliding. Proceed to Atal Tunnel, the world’s longest highway tunnel above 10,000 feet, reducing travel time to Leh. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Optional: Excursion to Rohtang Pass (extra cost; closed Nov–May).

Day 6

Drive approx. 320 km to Chandigarh. Evening sightseeing of Rock Garden, Rose Garden, and Sukhna Lake (time permitting). Chandigarh is India’s first planned city, designed by French architect Le Corbusier. Overnight stay at the hotel.
